Airport
The Stockholm-Arlanda International Airport is located between Uppsala and Stockholm, 36 km south of Uppsala, and by far the most convenient airport when travelling to Uppsala.
Travel to Uppsala
The historical city of Uppsala is situated 40 minutes by train north of Sweden´s capital Stockholm and approximately 20 minutes by train from Stockholm Arlanda Airport.
Uppsala Konsert & Kongress, UKK
The conference will be held at Uppsala Konsert & Kongress, UKK.
The address to the conference venue UKK is Vaksala torg 1, Uppsala.
Uppsala Konsert & Kongress is a modern, multifunctional space characterized by its first class design and acoustics. The building, inaugurated in 2007, is one of the latest additions to the historic Uppsala skyline.
Uppsala University Main Building
The welcome reception on 8 October will be held at Uppsala University Main Building.

The University Main Building was built in the 1880s to house all the University’s activities. Today, the University Main Building is still used for lectures, conferences, concerts and academic ceremonies. Each year, between 15 and 25 new full professors are solemnly inaugurated in the Grand Auditorium. Another ceremony steeped in atmosphere and tradition is the conferring of degrees when the year’s recipients of doctor’s degrees receive their doctor’s hat or wreath of laurels – a tradition harking back to the year 1600.
Uppsala Castle
The conference banquet on 10 October will be held at Uppsala Castle.

Uppsala Castle (Uppsala slott) is a 16th-century royal castle in the city of Uppsala, Sweden. Throughout much of its early existence, the castle played a major role in the history of Sweden. Originally constructed in 1549, the castle has been heavily remodelled, expanded, and otherwise modified. Today the structure houses the official residence of the governor of Uppsala County, various businesses, and two museums.
