HOW DO I BECOME A SESSION MODERATOR?

Please submit your contact information here to become a session moderator for FIE 2020.

HOW DO I RECEIVE A CERTIFICATE OF REVIEW?

If you have served as a reviewer for FIE 2022, you will be able to receive a Certificate of review upon request. Please send your request by e-mail to fie2022@akademikonferens.se (and add ‘Certificate of review’ in the subject line).

The Certificates will be e-mailed to you (including a downloadable PDF) in October, so please be patient.

WHICH REGISTRATION TYPES COVER PAPER PUBLICATION?

Only IEEE member, non-member, or sole student author fees are allowed to cover the publication of an accepted paper. To qualify for member rates, the membership number must be provided in the registration form. If the author registering to cover the paper publication is a student, the appropriate sole student author fee must be paid.

HOW DO I BECOME AN IEEE MEMBER?

Visit ieee.org/join to become an IEEE Member. After receiving your IEEE Member Number, you may register at the IEEE Member Rate.

WHAT TEMPLATE DO I USE FOR MY PAPER?

All FIE manuscripts use the IEEE manuscript template, found here (Please use the A4 template).

HOW CAN I REQUEST A REFUND?

Please email the Registration Manager to request a refund for registration. Cancellation of registration will be accepted until 30 September, 2020, up to which date the total amount will be refunded except for a cancellation fee of SEK 750. We regret that no refunds or reductions of fees will be accepted for cancellations made after 30 September, 2020.

WHAT CITATION STYLE SHOULD I USE FOR MY PAPER?

FIE follows the IEEE format. Basic examples can be found in the paper template and a more robust list of examples and guidelines can be found here.

WHAT LANGUAGE SHOULD I USE IN THE PAPER?

For FIE we follow IEEE guidelines which request that all British spellings should be changed to American.

WHAT IS THE PAGE LIMIT FOR MY PAPER?

The page limit for Works in Progress is 4 pages, with 1 additional page for references.

The page limit for all other papers is 8 pages, with 1 additional page for references.

CAN MY FULL PAPER BE CHANGED TO A WORK IN PROGRESS? CAN MY WORK IN PROGRESS BE CHANGED TO A FULL PAPER?

Tracks cannot be changed after the review manuscript deadline.

DO ABSTRACTS NEED TO USE THE IEEE PAPER TEMPLATE TO BE FORMATTED OR ARE THEY SUBMITTED VIA A FORM/TEXT BOX?

Abstracts will be submitted via a text box so no specific formatting is needed at this stage.

ARE WIP MANUSCRIPTS PUBLISHED IN THE PROCEEDINGS?

Yes, if all requirements are met, WIPs will be published in the conference proceedings exactly like full papers. Each accepted manuscript must have 1 author register for the conference at the full rate (not student), and the author must attend the conference in person and present the paper.

HOW DO I UPLOAD MY PAPER?

Review manuscripts can only be uploaded after your abstract is accepted. Review manuscripts can only be uploaded after the notification date of March 7th.

WHAT IS THE PDF EXPRESS CONFERENCE ID?

Information coming soon.

DO I HAVE TO ATTEND THE CONFERENCE TO PRESENT MY PAPER?

Yes, at least one author from each paper must attend the virtual conference to present the paper. Your paper will not be published otherwise. See registration requirements above.

CAN I CHANGE THE PAPER TITLE?

Yes. Please do so before the final paper deadline.
